Privacy notice
Last updated: 12 September 2026
GoDazza is operated in the United Kingdom by John Hall, trading as GoDazza. This notice explains the information used by the public website and The Open Hand Circle.
Information we collect
The public reading pages do not require an account. If you register interest, we may collect your chosen name, email address, country, confirmation that you are 18 or over, and an optional message. If invited into the Circle, we also process account information, posts, comments, connection choices, reports and notification preferences.
Why we use it
We use information to respond to interest, administer invitations, provide the Circle, protect members, investigate reports, secure the service and comply with law. The usual legal bases are consent, performance of the service requested, legitimate interests in running a safe community, and legal obligation where applicable.
Who receives it
We do not sell member information. Necessary hosting, email, security and carefully selected technical providers may process limited information under contract. Translation and voice services will not be enabled for private writing until their privacy arrangements are disclosed and appropriate choices are available.
Retention
Unsuccessful expressions of interest are normally removed within 12 months. Account and community records are kept while an account is active and for a limited period afterward where needed for safety, disputes or legal obligations. Confirmed safeguarding or moderation records may require longer retention.
Your choices and rights
You may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection where the relevant right applies, and may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
Safety and disclosure
Reports are confidential but not anonymous to authorised Circle Care administrators. Information may be disclosed where necessary to protect life, respond to credible harm, meet legal duties or defend legal rights.
Contact
Privacy requests: privacy@godazza.com once activated. Postal contact details will be supplied privately where law requires and should be added before accepting personal information.
